Reading the light: a better starting point
Updated

Demo guide — edit or replace before launch.
Choose one source
Start with a large window, an overcast sky or one studio softbox. Describe its direction relative to the subject. Avoid contradictory lighting instructions.
Compare two versions
Keep the subject fixed, then compare soft side light with direct backlight. Save the prompt, model and settings with each result.
Review your examples
Look for consistent shadows and believable reflections. Upload an example you have tested; label placeholders honestly.
